Norco Clay-busting Team Taking Home Trophies!

Two recent fundraising events were held in Rhode Island. Our Norco  team took first place at the Friendship Lodge event and 2nd place at the NE BSA event .

For the BSA event, the team was hoping for a three-peat, but fell short by less a few clays to take second. Regardless, they had fun, Norco is proud, and both fundraiser overall were a success.

A few notes and thanks from Tina, Alex’s champion to drive him everywhere:

I thought you’d like to know, Alex   (Norco Youth Member – 15 yrs old) was honored with an invite by Bob Hager to attend a Steak & Clay event for the Friendship Lodge #7 on June 9, 2024, at Addieville in Rhode Island (1 day prior to the BSA Sporting Clay Classic Event that Norco Club sponsored Alex for).
I’ve attached the photos of Bob Hager’s Team for the event (left to right:  Ed, Bob, Alex, Dave and Marc).  So happy and proud to announce that Bob Hager’s Team took 1st Place!  Alex also won a trophy shooting 48 clays out of 50, highest scorer out of 195 shooters – quite an accomplishment.   A shout out to Bob Hager’s Team (GREAT JOB TEAM – thank you for inviting Alex, he is still up in the clouds and said this was an amazing moment in time for him.
Note 2:

Once again, we’d like to extend a special “Thank You” to the Norco Sportsman’s Club for sponsoring Alex   to attend the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Sporting Clay Classic on June 10, 2024, at Addieville East Farm in Rhode Island.

Alex also sends his deep appreciation for the sponsorship and wants you to know he had an amazing day; he enjoys shooting with his team (who he has the utmost respect for), loves to shoot every station at Addieville and enjoys the food and camaraderie afterward – winning a trophy is icing on the cake)!

I’m proud to announce that the Norco Team (photos attached left to right: Marc Windward, Donnie Curtin, Alex ,and Bob Hager) took 2nd place this year out of approximately 26 teams. I’m also proud to let you know that Alex (15 yrs old, whom the Norco Club sponsored) scored 94 clays shot out of 100. This is a day that we will talk about for years to come and one that Alex will never forget – great memories were definitely made. A shout out to the Norco Team (GREAT JOB TEAM and Thank You for a fun day of shooting)!

The BSA Sporting Clay Classic was well-attended, the weather perfect and they raised over $20K for the Boy Scouts of America.
